Hello and welcome to my i-Portfolio!

My name is Anneke Siemers, and I am a student in the Master of Information Studies (MIS) program in the School of Information Studies (ÉSIS) at the University of Ottawa in Ottawa, ON, Canada. Pending the successful completion of the Winter 2025 semester, I will graduate from the program marking the end of the beginning of my journey into the LIS field.
This i-Portfolio represents the culmination of my time in the MIS program, showcasing the knowledge and experience I have gained academically, personally, and professionally. Developing this i-Portfolio has allowed me to reflect on the ways I have grown through the MIS program. Not only have I learned new skills such as cataloguing and classification, but the program has also opened my eyes to the different possibilities within the LIS field that I hadn’t previously known existed. I have highlighted the knowledge, and experience most relevant to my future in the library and information studies (LIS) field. As I near the completion of my degree, I look forward to continuing this journey in a professional setting and contributing to the evolving field of LIS.
Feel free to explore my LIS journey using the menu at the top of the page. Check out the Career and Vision section to learn more about me and my career goals. The values that have guided me through this program can be found under Values and Ethics. To see some of my most notable work, head over to Projects. Finally, the Knowledge section and the Skills and Competencies section showcase the abilities and expertise I have developed along the way.
