Welcome!

“No one can whistle a symphony. It takes an orchestra to play it.”
~ H. E. Luccock

Welcome to my ePortfolio! So, what can you expect to find? Well, let’s consider a musical orchestra for a moment. A plethora of different sections and parts are going to come together to form a cohesive whole. These different parts have their own unique roles, and in some cases can be singled out for the sake of a particular goal. Nevertheless, we notice that each unique section and individual part of the orchestra plays a crucial role in the overall singular sound that an audience member will hear. While less musical in nature, I hope you experience something similar here within my ePortfolio.

As you’ll see, there are several different sections that will pertain to the various experiences I’ve had since beginning my career as an information professional (IP). These experiences, while unique on their own, have helped cultivate a “well-roundness”, as one might say, in my pursuit to become an IP. Each component found within this ePortfolio culminates ultimately with my goal of an IP that focuses on enhancing information and knowledge strategies while leveraging digital technologies such as artificial intelligence. More on this can be found on my Career Plan page.

For the sake of my ePortfolio, the phrase “symphony of librarianship” will take on two primary meanings. First, several different components need to be at work to create the whole, individually (which is main focus of this ePortfolio). Second, the importance of collaborating and connecting with other IPs to create the whole, corporately. One might ask, “… that’s an…interesting orchestra analogy, but why did you choose that analogy to tie your ePortfolio together?” Well, I thought you’d never ask! I’d suggest you start with my Biography if you’d like to find out!
